About Krzysztof Baranowski Trio

The band was formed in 2018 on the initiative of multi-instrumentalist and composer Krzysztof Baranowski (born 1994 in Olsztyn) – a graduate of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the jazz guitar class and the Jazz Department of the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the double bass class. Members of the formation combine jazz tradition and modern sound in the formula of a piano trio. Fresh, harmonious compositions of the leader, scenic creativity and emotional language of musical expression distinguish the trio from other Polish jazz bands. Pieces performed by K.B. Trio are mainly compositions of the originator of the band – Krzysztof Baranowski, which combine various inspirations, from traditional jazz, through classical music, Scandinavian jazz, to film music and world music. The musicians comprising the formation are characterised by great sensitivity and versatility. Despite their young age, they have very rich musical experience. The leader – double bass player is accompanied on stage by the pianist Mateusz Kaszuba and the drummer Shachar Elnatan.
