Maniucha and Ksawery are a duo which in their own way combine jazz improvisation with the dying songs of Ukrainian Poles. In their compositions they recite spring, harvest, wedding, love, grandfather, carol and lullabies songs, combining them into stories that represent the cycles of nature and human life. Together they narrate stories crossing the boundaries of time and musical genres, drawing on Maniuch's many-year journey to singers from the Ukrainian countryside and a common musical imagination. They often go back to archival recordings from the Polish villages of the area.
