About Mikromusic

Their music escapes all classifications. The band simply describes it as Mikromusic. They are inspired by Slavic folk, jazz, rock and electronics. Some journalists describe their music as avant pop or art pop. Mikromusic has recorded six studio albums, but they show true power at concerts. During all their activity they released three very warmly received concert albums. They played at the most important Polish festivals, including Open'er Festival, Ladies Jazz Festival, Top Trendy, Song Festival in Opole. They also performed abroad, among others in Japan (Blue Note Tokyo), Germany, Estonia, Czech Republic, Belarus, Portugal, Spain, Italy or Romania. The band was twice nominated for the most important Polish music award, i.e. Fryderyk in the category Alternative Record of the Year. The leader of the band is Natalia Grosiak – vocalist, lyricist and composer, who cooperates with such big names on the Polish music scene as Smolik, Leszek Możdżer, Skubas, Kev Fox, Renata Przemyk, L.U.C, Mioush.

An important aspect of Mikromusic's activity is the visual side of their work. The band's music videos have been nominated and awarded at such festivals as Yach Film Festival, Camerimage, Berlin Music Video Awards. The band created music for films Chemia (dir. Bartek Prokopowicz) and Konfident (dir. Juraj Nvota) and for a musical play Trzy wesołe krasnoludki for the Capitol Music Theatre (dir. Konrad Imiela). The audience of Mikromusic music videos on Youtube reaches several dozen million. The last album Tak mi się nie chce and the sold out concert halls place the band among the most popular bands in Poland in 2018.
