Wojciech Jachna (1976) – trumpeter and improviser. Graduate of Jazz and Popular Music at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and History at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. He has recorded over 30 albums with various performers including Contemporary Noise Sextet, Sing Sing Penelope, Mordy and reggae band Dubska. He has received several scholarships from the city of Bydgoszcz, and was awarded in 2015 by the Mayor of Bydgoszcz for promoting the musical culture of Bydgoszcz. He has collaborated with many artists, including the legend of the Polish improvised scene, Andrzej Przybielski, as well as Irek Wojtczak, the Oleś Brothers, Dominik Strycharski, Marek Kądziela, Grzegorz Nadolny, Tomasz Glazik, Rafał Gorzycki, Tomasz Pawlicki, Rafał Kołacki, Tomek Gadecki, Marcin Dymiter, Jacaszek, Anna Zielińska, Ksawery Wójciński, Jacek Mazurkiewicz, Paweł Szpura, Artur Maćkowiak, Kuba Ziołek, Rafał Iwański or Zbigniew Chojnacki. Currently, he creates many interesting, new line-ups – Innercity Ensemble, Jachna/Buhl, Sundial, Jachna/Wójcinski, Jaząbu, or Jachna/Mazurkiewicz/Buhl. In 2018 he released a solo album for the trumpet Emanations (Multikulti Rec.), and in 2020 debuted as Wojciech Jachna Squad with Elements. His follow-up solo album, Conception, was released in June.
