Parcha and Dżina, the main characters in Dorota Masłowska's famous play, go on an unintentional trip around Poland in a state of after-party inebriation. Uninvited, the characters pack themselves into a random driver's car and tell him to go to the seaside. Ultimately, however, they end up in the abyss of a Warmian night. Their forest wandering in search of civilisation leads them to a local bar, as well as to an encounter with a drunken woman, only to end up in the hut of a local hermit. The seemingly merry and ecstatic antics of Parcha and Dżina seem endless. However, the protagonists go on adventures that expose their chronic loneliness and, as it turns out, their desperate struggle for life. A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians is an impossible and at times almost metaphysical journey of two characters into themselves.
