Cellist Agnieszka Kova Kowalczyk will play pieces from her cycle Goddesses at Poznan's Tramway House.

Boginie is a one-woman project by the artist for electric cello and loop station. It is a series of pieces inspired by female figures from ancient history. Kova draws on Slavic, Norse, Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Mesopotamian mythology in her explorations. Combining her virtuosity with looping techniques and the varied colours of her cello, Kova creates evocative music in which every note is powerful.

Agnieszka Kova Kowalczyk is a classically trained cellist. She has performed and/or recorded with many artists from the jazz, classical and rock scenes, as well as creators of electronic, experimental and improvised music, including Nicole Mitchell, Dee Alexander, Lisa-Marie Holmes, Kayah, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Zbigniew Górny, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Urszula, Robert Chojnacki, Felicjan Andrzejczak, Katarzyna Pakosa, Swiernalis or Waldemar Rychły. Since 2012 she has also been associated with Ray Wilson's band. Agnieszka has performed at many music festivals, such as: Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Opener, New Age of Avant-garde, No Women No Art, Klamra, FONOMO, Friv, BASS & BEAT and others. She is also co-founder of the duo Cello 2 Cello, with which she has had the opportunity to perform both in the USA, South America, Africa, Asia and most European countries. The artist also creates her own music for, among others, theatre performances (Teatr Ósmego Dnia, CINEMA Theatre, Polish Theatre in Poznań, Polish Dance Theatre), multimedia shows, silent films and meditation meetings.
