The noise rock band Alpha Strategy began in Toronto, Canada in 2011 as the solo project of Rory Hinchey. Over a decade later, it has moved twice, eventually settling in Prague; become a full fledged band; and recorded three LPs, including one at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio. Mixing noise rock bravado with post-punk neurosis, Alpha Strategy's defining feature is Hinchey himself, whose presence was once described as „John Travolta in Grease meets Nick Cave*.
Joining Alpha Strategy are Amba, aPoznan-based electro-punk trio consisting of singers Marika Bocewicz and Marta Majek and producer and guitarist Bajzel. In 2021 they debuted with the single Real Find, which became the main musical theme for the ski jumping MMORPG game Ski Jump Simulator and was reviewed by Teraz Rock and Soundrive. They are currently associated with the long-running Polish indie Antena Krzyku. Closing the line-up out is the mysterious Wroclaw-based band Polski Program Kosmiczny, formed in late 2022 as Grzyby by members of the Wroclaw Improvised Orchestra, Ślina, Torteks, Kaszel and Gaijin Blues.
