Arbeitstag 2-9-6 (Working Day 2-9-6) is a music theater piece development based on songs of the Romantic period, in which we deal with the subject, alienated from his work, who fruitlessly takes refuge in unattainable dream worlds.

Two women measure a room. Why and for what, they do not know. They only know what they are supposed to do and want to finish their work with always unchanging, rehearsed movements. A new perspective opens up to them when a mascot of romance appears: they can not only measure the space they are in, but live in it and experience it. But is this perspective really more than just a dream?

"Often people speak of the industrial revolution to denote the change that took place in industry when science was applied to production and large-scale industry emerged; but a second industrial revolution has long since taken place: the first is characterized by the scientific exploitation of inanimate matter and the forces of nature, the second by the scientific exploitation of living matter, that is, of human beings." – Simone Weil
