Bachtale Apsa started playing in 2010. The head and “father” of the band is the blind musician Mário Bihári.
The name Bachtale Apsa, translated as Tears of Happiness, expresses the variety of moods and emotions that Romani music has always evoked in listeners. Its music has influences from all traditional Romani styles - one can find Balkan, Hungarian, Spanish, Russian and Slovak Romani roots in it. There are also compositions of so-called Sinti jazz and, of course, classic czardas. Great vocals and brilliant musicianship in thrilling rhythms are the strengths that make the band a Roma music classic in the best sense of the word. Its foundation is the accordion and piano of Mario Bihári. He is accompanied by guitarist and singer Peter Horváth. Adam Pospisil, violinist and bassist in one, and Standa Vit, drummer and percussionist, give the band a precise rhythmic foundation. In addition, Bachtale Apsa's music is decorated with typical vocals involving all band members.
