With the quartet Bastille, founded in 2010, England looks to an exciting band beyond all standard raster - yet so engaging and rousing that they rose straight up with their debut album to worldwide stars. With verve, courage and audaciousness, the formation around mastermind Dan Smith poaching in the history of pop culture and film, combining quotes, samples and borrowed sound components to a completely unique sound between pop, R'n'B and independent rock. Shortly after its founding, Bastille met with great affection on the Internet. Their first official single Flaws reached number 21 in the charts in England. Even more successful was their debut album Bad Blood, which immediately reached the top position in England and also placed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the US in the charts. In total, Bastille sold more than five million albums of its debut album and decoupled singles in the US alone, over 2.5 million in England. With the second album Wild World the international success continued in 2016. Around the release of their upcoming third album Doom Days, Bastille are back on a major tour, during which they will play six concerts in Germany between February 12 and March 6 in Bochum, Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
