Berlin Noize is a complete audiovisual work on the nocturnal atmosphere of the German metropolis. The exhibition combines tracks by the electronic music producer TRU. with photographs, videos and texts by the artist _4.x to create an aesthetic of noise.

The space is filled with clacking and whirring, flickering and flickering. Analogue noise seeps out of cassette decks, video recorders and tube televisions, tangling with mechanical noise and electronic sounds. The visitors drive the jumble of images and tapes forward. They play, stop, rewind or sink into the unpublished photographs of the series less noize – 24 paradoxical still lifes in front of locked Berlin club doors, taken during the lockdown – as beautiful as they are melancholic.

French techno pioneer Laurent Garnier praised TRU.'s music with the words: "Absolutely love the album!". The exhibition follows on impressively from this.

The programme:

  • Friday, April 07, 2023 from 5 p.m. to Open End (Vernissage).
  • Saturday, April 08, 2023 from 2pm to 10pm (7pm - TRU. Liveset)
  • Sunday, April 09, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (6 p.m. - presentation by the artist _4.x)
