China Cultural Center Berlin

The China Cultural Center Berlin is a cultural institution of the people’s republic of China that has the same status in Germany as Goethe Institut in China. The center was opened in 2008 at the Berlin embassy district at Tiergarten. The aim of the 2.800 square meters big culture center is to introduce Chinese culture, art and education to a broad public in Germany as well as to support cultural exchange, mutual understanding, friendly relationships and the collaboration of the two countries.

With exhibitions, lectures, talks, concerts, film screenings and theater plays with Chinese artists, Chinese art and culture are presented to the visitors and a platform for the exchange of people from both cultures is created. Besides, the various workshops of the center are popular: the program hereby reaches from cooking classes to calligraphy or Quigong training. The center also offers language classes that to learn the Chinese language for children as well as adults that enjoy growing popularity.
