A movement workshop focused on expanding body awareness, finding pleasure in movement and developing creativity. The workshop will include tools and inspiration from somatics, movement improvisation, self-massage and bodywork, otulo, movement research, voice and breath work, pulsing or polyvagal theory and vagus nerve work.
The main theme of the workshop is the attentive and enjoyable exploration of the possibilities of one’s own body in movement with respect for its limitations. This kind of work helps to reduce stress, foster a sense of security, establish a friendly relationship with one’s body and find pleasure in physical exertion. The plans include making the joints more flexible, searching for expression in movement, building a sense of security in the body, regulating the nervous system and fostering a love of movement. It is a practice that requires no prior preparation, yet everyone will find something for themselves – movement, relaxation, physical exertion, connection with each other, community, fun, etc. You can come to one workshop or practice bodywork regularly. Comfortable clothing and a water bottle are recommended for the class.
