Gost + Svart Crown
GosT is a solo project by the American producer James Lollar. His latest album, Valedicton, was released on October 4, 2019 (Century Media Records). GosT will be accompanied by Svart Crown. The French have recently announced another release, which will be released next year.
Instead of a biography, GosT uses a quotation from the Old Testament, loves horror classics, and in the photos you can see it in a characteristic mask in the shape of a dead skull. GosT is one of the most interesting synthwave artists, whose music is classified by reviewers as dark synth or slasherwave. The producer comes from Texas and his first love was Kiss. Then he was also fascinated by pop and film music, such as John Carpenter, who is one of his idols. He also creates dark, mysterious, hypnotic and very rhythmic compositions. If anyone would like to start a Halloween dance party, GosT will be a great choice. The album Non Paradisi (inspired by John Milton's Paradise Lost) received excellent reviews. It was described as "the most nihilistic dance album ever recorded, something between Anaal Nathrakh and Justice. GosT has been a guest at many prestigious festivals. He set up a party at the legendary Dutch Roadburn, among others.
Svart Crown - in December 2004 the blasphemous life of a black/deathmetal band began in beautiful Nice. The initiator of the band was guitarist and singer Jean-Baptiste (JL) Le Bail, who remains the only member of the first incarnation of the band. JL was fascinated by devilish, decadent and perverse themes, and musically he was in love with playing black and death metal at the interface between black and death metal of quite a high level of technical advancement. From time to time he added interludes from other territories to the songs, which only made Svart Crown's music more interesting. It started with a 2006 demo. Then Svart Crown didn't play EPs, singles or splits anymore and released only big albums. Each subsequent one was received better and better, and the album Abrecation from 2017 met with the greatest recognition.
