Soundtrack to the cyber-apocalypse. Creating a high-octane blend of metalcore, industrial and dubstep, Japanese quintet Crossfaith will perform two concerts in our country this autumn.

They started out as a numetal cover band, but quickly came to the conclusion that they wanted to make their own music. In 2006, with a five-member line-up, they set off from Osaka as Crossfaith to conquer Japan and later the world. The band released their debut EP, Blueprint of Reconstruction, in 2008, followed a year later by their full-length debut, The Artificial Theory for the Dramatic Beauty, on Japanese label Zestone Records. During this time Crossfaith also maintained a rigorous touring schedule, performing primarily as a support band, including appearances in front of bands such as Hatebreed, The Used and Machine Head.

In 2011. Crossfaith launched a successful attack on the ears of audiences in the USA - their second album, The Dream, the Space, was released on the US label Tragic Hero Records and paved the way for the band's career on the New Continent. It was also during this time that Crossfaith developed their own sonically whipping style, as precise and mechanical as it was aggressive and brutal. Electronic music was firmly established in their sound, and visions of a dystopian future in their lyrics. Recorded in this vein, Crossfaith's third album, -Apocalyze_, was released in 2013 and was preceded by the singles The Evolution and We Are the Future. The band continued to experiment with their music, and a harbinger of change was the single Madness, on which they streamlined their mix of hardcore and electronica with cleaner arrangements and more vocals. At the end of 2015, the band released Xeno (Razor & Tie), a concept album about artificial intelligence taking over the human mind, with guest contributions from Caleb Shomo (Beartooth) and Benji Webbe (Skindred). They also retained the conceptual nature of the narrative on their latest album Ex-Machina, released in 2018, which tells the story of a rebellion against an authoritarian ruling class with artificial intelligence. The recordings featured industrial rappers Ho99o9 and Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds.

*The exact schedule of the concert will be published here and on the organiser's website in the week of the event.
