Post-metal giants join the ranks of Metal Blade Records and announce a European tour – Cult of Luna is coming back to Poland. Together with them this evening a Belgian gem from Sargent House/Hassle Records – Brutus, will perform, as well as A.A. Williams.
For almost 20 years, Cult of Luna has been one of the leading forces in the world post-metal scene. The band is constantly evolving, pushing genre boundaries from album to album to discover the darkest and most foggy, but also the driest and most violent musical landscapes. Fans have been waiting for a solo studio album of Swedes since 2013, when the world has heard Vertikal 1&2. Of course, since then you could experience Mariner, an album recorded with Julie Christmas and the DVD Years In A Day from April 2017, but everyone is waiting impatiently for this extremely longed-for, solo material from the studio. And this one is announced for autumn this year, and its first installment is to be the latest track The Silent Man, which the band released online at the beginning of May. It all started in the town of Umea, from which such bands as legendary Refused and metal giants from Meshuggah come. Today the Swedes have played hundreds of concerts and the biggest festivals in the world for fans of heavy sounds. They shared the stage with such big names as Isis, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan or Poison The Well. 8 studio albums, 5 EPs, 3 live albums and 3 video albums are impressive, and all this builds even more tension before the musicians return to Poland.
