About Dan Nicholls

Dan Nicholls is a keyboardist, reeds player, composer and producer, also working with video and animation. His music is inspired by prevalent issues in society: exploring environment, experience and identity, as well as the use of various forms of media for political and social influence. He has worked with artists as wide-ranging as Squarepusher, Matthew Herbert and Goldie to John Edwards, Arve Hennriksen and Eric Harland – retaining his own approach to production, sampling and sound-shaping in all circumstances. Dan also works with Fofoulah, Vula Viel and Brass Mask among others, as well as producing electronic music and remixes.
