The Swedish industrial metal band returns to Poland after a few years. Their last album, The Perfect Cult, was released in 2014. In the world of gothic and industrial metal, the name Deathstars is held in great reverence. Formed in 2000 in tiny Strömstad, and residing in Stockholm for years, the band have worked hard for the recognition and status they have achieved after nearly a decade of hard work. The band's main driving forces are guitarist and keyboardist Emil "Nightmare Industries" Nödtveidt (younger brother of legendary Dissection frontman Jon) and vocalist Andreas "Whiplasher Bernadotte" Bergh. In addition to them, the line-up also includes Jonas "Skinny Disco" Kangur (bassist and vocalist), rhythm guitarist Eric "Cat Casino" Bäckman, who returned to the group after many years, and drummer Marcus "Nitro" Johansson (joined in 2019).
The Deathstars name began to quickly reach a growing global audience after the 2009 album Night Electric Night. It reached the top ten charts in Sweden and was also very popular in Germany, where the fusion of metal and gothic has always had plenty of devoted fans. It did even more good for the Swedes to support one of their biggest idols, Rammstein. Polish fans also had a chance to enjoy this combination.
