Parch and Genie – the main characters of the play under the influence of "consciousness-expanding substances" after a party go on an unintended journey across Poland.

In the first part of the play, the audience becomes witnesses to the carefree escapade of these two. The characters uninvited pack themselves into a car of a random driver and order him to go to the seaside. Eventually, however, they end up in the depths of a Masurian night. Their forest wandering in search of civilisation leads them to a local bar, as well as to a meeting with a drunk woman, and finally they find themselves in the hut of the local grandfather. The seemingly cheerful and ecstatic antics of Parcha and Djinn seem to have no end. However, the protagonists go on adventures during their trip, which by the way expose their chronic loneliness and, as it turns out, desperate struggle for life. Dwoje biednych Romunów mówiących po polsku is an impossible and at times metaphysical journey of two characters into themselves.
