About Ewa Sad
Ewa Sad is Ewa Sadowska, a musician and visual artist associated with the Warsaw independent scene. After early recordings under the FK label, she gained wider recognition as part of the important Polish pop band Sorja Morja; she now also co-founded the Warsaw-based Polonia Disco collective, which reinterprets the disco polo tradition. She has been active as Ewa Sad since 2021; under this alias, she releases incredibly intricate pop songs that move at a dizzying pace through tonalities and psychedelic depths. In 2023, her debut album with Bum bum was released by the cult Warsaw-based Enjoy Life and the Opole-Warsaw label Polish Subtitles. Ewa has so far played at, among others, OFF Festival, Soundrive, Great September or OPO Festival. She has performed with Gents, Wonderful Years, Holiday, Chair, Incinerator and Eurodank.
