Called one of the most inventive Bay Area bands since Metallica (AllMusic), Fallujah formed in San Francisco in 2007. They began their career playing deathcore and grind, but when they released their debut The Harvest Wombs in 2011, the foundation of their sound was already incredibly skilled and versatile technical death metal, reminiscent of Behemoth or Dissection. They have toured with bands such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex, Thy Art is Murder, Dying Fetus, Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist; they have five studio albums to their name, the latest being Empyrean (2022).
