Female To Empower: Noraa + Juba

The Silent Green invites to yet another evening full of female power. The event Female To Empower presents a screening of the film Assurance (2020) by Juba and Juba and Noraa in conversation with Pamela Owusu-Brenyah. The evening will end with a concert by Noraa and a DJ set by Juba.

Female composers, DJs and producers have always been part of the musical present. However, in the male-dominated narratives of music history they are hardly mentioned to this day. The concert and film series Female to Empower would therefore like to tell these small and big music stories from a female perspective.

Female to Empower combines music documentaries with live concerts and talks in order to, not only, enable a historical-documentary review but also to take a contemporary look at the musical work of women * in popular music.
