There was a time when music and song resounded in the streets. A time when laughter filled the dark taverns where vile life was boiling. There was a time of neckerchiefs and black manes, when tangos and Warsaw waltzes were danced. There was such a time in Czerniaków.
Ferajna goes back to that time in the turbulent history of Warsaw. A group of friends 'from down there' tell people 'from the city' what life was like in Sielce. It is a story of material scarcity and an abundance of social rules. Laughter alternates with poignancy and the thought that checkered scarves and red neckerchiefs could return prevails. Will they return?
