Fotogawęda: Ze zbiorów Mieczysława Cholewy

By photographing costumes and landscapes, performing in front of audiences or collecting instruments – in all the activities undertaken, Mieczysław Cholewa spun a story about his beloved, native region of Sądecczyzna. The exhibition Fotogawęda. Ze zbiorów Mieczysława Cholewy. presents, first of all, the multithreaded character of this energetic amateur ethnographer, who fulfilled himself in many roles in life. The exhibition comprises a selection of 250 photographs by Mieczysław Cholewa from the collection of the Archives of the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. In addition, the exhibition will feature other artefacts collected by Cholewa, including costumes, instruments, designs and drawings of embroideries.
