Frida is a production devoted to the life and work of the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. It tells the story of her difficult relationship with her sister and husband Diego Rivera. The performance also shows how 100 years ago an ambitious artist gained fame and recognition in the world of painting – so dominated by men at that time. The play aims to inspire contemporary women not to be afraid to fight for their own and to take on even the toughest challenges. The adversities that Frida faced from time to time did not break her, and her talent and ambition led her to the very top of the painting icons of the 20th century. Also visually, the production refers to painting, becoming an artistic impression, drawing from many fields of art.
