Galerie Michael Haas was founded in 1976 by Michael Haas in Berlin. The gallery is dedicated to modern classical art, German and international art after 1945, as well as contemporary works.
In over 40 years the gallery presented works in solo and group exhibitions of artists like Georg Baselitz, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Günther Brus, Giorgio de Chirico, Otto Dix, Jean Dubuffet, Jean Fautrier, Hans Hofmann, Ernst-Ludwig Kirchner, Per Kirkeby, Mimmo Paladino, A.R.Penck, Arnulf Rainer, Louis Soutter and Gerhard Richter.
