Sound artist, improviser, composer. Artistic director and curator of the Sanatorium of Sound festival in Sokolowsko. As a saxophonist, he is active in free improvisation; his ouevre also includes electronic music and various experimental and intermedia works. His installations and sound interventions are based on white noise, sine waves, feedback, multichannel sound. He focuses on issues such as perception and propagation of sound waves, time disturbances, psychoacoustics, and explores the relationship of sound with architecture. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, Lebik has collaborated with seminal experimental musicians, including Keith Rowe, Phil Minton, Ryoko Akama, Burkhard Beins, John Edwards, Paul Lovens, David Maranha, Peter Rehberg, Jérôme Noetinger, Zbigniew Karkowski, Kasper T. Toeplitz, Noid, Lucio Capece, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Aleksandra Słyż, Judith Hamann and many others. Among others, he has performed at festivals and venues such as TPAM, Rewire, CTM, Fiber Festival, TodaysArt Festival, MONOM, Tokyo Jazz, Experimental Intermedia, Bienalle Wro, Kunsthalle, Fylkingen, Konfrontationen and Hcmf.
