About Grzech Piotrowski
Grzegorz “Grzech” Piotrowski (born July 12, 1974 in Olsztyn) is a Polish musician, composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist, as well as publisher and explorer. He travels the world in search of artists, music, roots of improvisation, the sun, healthy food, adventure and the essence of being. His music projects escape from frames, standards and stereotypes. He is a composer, saxophonist, music producer and arranger. An artist balancing on the edge of film, classical, jazz, folk and open improvisation music. Creator of the World Orchestra and bands: Alchemik, Oxen, Dekonstrukcja Jazzu, Freedom Nation, Head Up. Graduated from the prestigious Department of Jazz and Entertainment Music at the Academy of Music in Katowice in saxophone class. Twice nominated for Fryderyk, the most prestigous Polish music award. Winner of the Grand Prix at the Hoeilaart Jazz Festival in Belgium in 1998, Grand Prix at the festival of Two Theaters in Sopot for the music to the play Saxophone Bass Skvorecki, and the first places on the festivals Jazz on the Oder, Pomeranian Jazz Autumn, Jazz Juniors.
