Gutek and Fish Basket concert at Leśniczówka in Chorzów.
Gutek, or Piotr Gutkowski, was associated with Indios Bravos, as well as adding flavour to turn-of-the-century hip hop anthems. Paktofonika's Ia to Ja, Abradab's Rapowe Ziarno or Vienia and Pele's To Dla Moich Ludzi are just a few examples. Even though Gutek has been attributed to reggae and hip hop, delving into the thicket of his musical collaborations, you'll find a whole spectrum of musical genres on these several dozen albums. He was invited to collaborate with Maria Sadowska and Robert Brylewski, Kamil Bednarek and Darek Malejonek, Pidżama Porno and Strachy Na Lachy, Farben Lehre, Happysad or the metal group Maqama, and many others. The list is endless, as evidenced by the fact that he has recorded almost 100 albums with his own participation. In search of his own path Gutek created a solo project to which he invited: Janek Koźliński (bass), Dawid Mańkowski (guitar) and Tomek Mańkowski (drums). Without cutting himself off from his roots, Gutek tries to find his own musical form, sometimes deriving from the pulsations of reggae, sometimes based on the swing of rhythm-and-blues. The band Fish Basket, on the other hand, is a trio in the classic rock line-up, consisting of guitar, bass and drums. They have brought their widely varied inspirations to a common denominator in their own compositions. Their long songs, which absorb the listener's imagination, often surprise with a twist and the direction the musicians take.
