About Hania Rani & Dobrawa Czocher
Pianist, harpsichordist and arranger Hania Rani (or Hanna Raniszewska) and cellist Dobra Czocher are a duo of young, classically educated artists who successfully combine two musical worlds – classical and popular music. They met in Gdańsk, where they started their adventure with music. They then studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Dobra received a proposal from the organiser of the festival, Grzegorz Ciechowski in Memoriam, to present Ciechowski’s music in a completely different way. Dobravna came into contact with the music of the musician already in her childhood – in her family home the music of the leader of the Republic occupied an important place. She invited Hania to cooperate, and in 2015 their debut album Biała flaga was released.
