Previous editions have hosted, among others, Crystal Viper, Sacred Steel, Destroyers, Stos and many other bands from the young Polish scene. The line-up for the March event kicks off with quite a bump, as it opens with Bavarian doom epic bulldozer Atlantean Kodex, inspired by the likes of Bathory, old Manowar, Solstice and Manilla Road. Canadian-Finnish Smoulder, fronted by charismatic vocalist Sarah Ann, has a similar modus operandi; and Poland's Evangelist, who have only played four shows since 2008 despite releasing three albums, and Helicon Metal Festival will be the fifth opportunity to observe this extremely rare phenomenon. There will also be an appearance by Austrian Venator, inspired by heavy metal classics. The list closes with Lublin's Shadow Warrior, who combine classic heavy metal with a gamer aesthetic, and Krakow's Mayhayron, who celebrate their 24th anniversary in 2023.
