*Family exhibition "This here, that there. Tales of travel, travellers and travellers".

Humans have been travelling since the dawn of time. We know that migrating from one place to another was not as easy in the past as it is now. Many spaces were complemented by imagination. Many inventions have changed our nomadic life and our world has become somewhat smaller in the process – it takes no more than 24 hours for us to reach the most remote corners of the world. The exhibition encourages us to consider whether this change affects us. What does it signify to the outside world? Does everyone travel? What is the origin of our need to get to know such far-flung lands? What do our trips look like and do we pay enough attention while travelling?

The exhibition is an invitation to an excursion during which everyone will be able to find space to understand their own travels, to find their own paths, and perhaps even to discover anew what is close and common. You will be able to take a close look at ourselves – adults and children alike – and see what kind of tourists and explorers we are.

The Here and There exhibition offers an unusual journey, taking us across 7 thematically arranged rooms of the Museum for Children, thanks to which both the young and the not so young visitors will experience how to become careful tourists and intrepid travellers. The exhibition showcases objects from the collection of the National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. It features interactive and multimedia elements that encourage individual participation as well as content that provokes reflection on travelling. Arranged throughout the exhibition space, riddles and tasks await visitors, while children’s trivia quizzes will often take adults by surprise!
