About HONIG

Originally a solo project by Stefan Honig, the band HONIG exists since 2006. HONIG began recording its first album Treehouse in 2007 and played its first six-week China tour in 2010. Afterwards the recordings for the EP Contraband began.

The second album Empty Orchestra was released in 2012. The recordings were supported by musicians like Tim Neuhaus, Gianni Marzo from the Belgian band Isbells, Jonas David and Martin Hannaford. The same year HONIG played at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, the Haldern Pop Festival and the Waves Vienna.

HONIG went on their first full-band tour in the fall of 2012. As part of that tour, they also played their first gig in England at the "Communion Night" in London. The song For Those Lost At Sea, for which the first official video was produced, reached the Jahrescharts Song of the Year 2012 of the Deutsche Musikmagazin, ranking 9th.

In My Drunken Head, the first single release of the album Empty Orchestra, was mixed by Frank Pilsl, the producer of Philipp Poisel. In 2014 the third album It's Not a Hummingbird, It's Your Father's Ghost, was released.
