Meeting of four Polish jazz musicians as part of the Jazzmoments event series.


Michał Salamon is a pianist, composer, arranger, publisher and music producer. Co-founder of the bands Quindependence and Fours Collective, Graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow. He has performed on Polish and European music stages many times and has collaborated with many artists from the world of pop music, such as Kayah, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Natalia Kukulska, Ania Karwan, Marysia Sadowska, Mateusz Ziółko. Michał Salamon is the recipient of numerous honours and awards, including second place at Jazz Juniors 2015, two Jazz Debut Phonographic Awards and fourth place in JazzPRESS magazine's Jazz 2020 poll in the Polish Jazz Album of the Year category.

Michał Zaborski is a viola player and composer, best known as a member of the four-time Fryderyk Award-winning Atom String Quartet. With his own quartet, he plays an intriguing blend of melodic European jazz with a touch of world music, exploring the possibilities of the viola in the context of a traditional jazz section. In April 2019, he released his debut album Feeling Earth on the Slovakian label Hevhetia, which received a Fryderyk nomination.

Jazz bassist from Warsaw, member of Mysteries Lab and Ornament. From 2013 to 2017 he studied at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School Complex at the Jazz Department (Bednarska) in the jazz double bass class with Andrzej Święs. In September 2017, he played his graduation show receiving an excellent grade. Self-taught on the bass guitar. Grand Prix winner of the National Music Competition of the Centre for Artistic Education in the jazz ensemble category together with the PSJ trio (2017). Winner of 3rd place with the Michal Skwierczynski Quartet at the Blue Note Poznań Competition 2017. He also won an honorable mention with the Natalia Kordiak Quintet at the same competition. Winner of 2nd place at the Tarnów Jazz Contest 2017 together with Natalia Kordiak Quintet. He is currently studying at the newly opened Jazz Department in the jazz double bass class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Tomasz Mądzielewski is a drummer from Grudziądz. He has toured almost all over Europe, appearing at major festivals. He has performed on the most prestigious outdoor stage in America: the Jay Pritzker Pavilion' in Chicago's Millenium Park. He has performed many times at the largest Polish festivals. As a lecturer, he actively participates in conducting classes at, among others, the Drum Academy in Warsaw, as well as at his own clinics and music workshops around the country. He is the initiator and organiser of the first Drum Shed Festival in Poland, "Rim Shot Killaz". Artists he has worked with include: Mark Lanegan, Anna Karwan, Magdalena Tul, Grażyna Łobaszewska, Ewa Uryga, Jolanta Szczepaniak, Mela Koteluk, Monika Borzym, Georgina Tarasiu, Honorata "Honey" Skarbek, Kasia Klich, Kasia Dereń, Patrycja Kazadi, Katerine Avgoustakis, Dori Fi, Leszek Możdzer, Fisz Emade Tworzywo Sztuczne, Mrozu.
