K.ZIA was born in 1993 in Brussels, Belgium, and is a Berlin-based up and coming singer, songwriter and composer fusing R&B, soul, pop and global music.
Born of a Martinican father and a Belgo-Congolese mother, the internationally acclaimed world music artist Zap Mama, K.ZIA was raised amongst many cultures and has travelled the world of music and circus, doing studio sessions and backing vocals until she moved to Berlin to start her solo career.
Her 5-track debut EP Red was released in 2018 covering a variety of musical styles and matters of the young artist's life: love ups and downs, soul searching and discovering her place in the world as a young, black woman.
She describes herself as an afro-european mineral by virtue of her cultural and ethnical background, and this is what her music is about. Fusing cultures, genres, bringing people from different environments together to celebrate music, love and remembering the important matters of life.
