About Kelley Hollis
Soprano Kelley Hollis is a singing actress who is swiftly garnering the attention of the opera community for her intriguing voice and unique dramatic interpretations of contemporary works. Kelley Hollis is a graduate of the Boston University Opera Institute, whose credits with the company include the title role in Daniel Catan's Florencia en el Amazonas, Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Micaela in Le Tragedie de Carmen, and Harper in Peter Eötvös’ Angels in America.
n October 2013, Kelley made her Boston debut, delivering a “tour de force performance” in the Boston premiere of Nico Muhly's Dark Sisters. Last year Ms. Hollis sang the role of Nina in the New England premiere of Pasatieri’s The Seagull, presented by Opera del West. Additionally Kelley Hollis has performed with other reputable opera companies throughout the country and had a chance to, among others, cover the role of Musetta in La bohème.
In 2015, Ms. Hollis made her Boston Symphony Hall debut as the soprano soloist in Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, performing with the BU Symphony Orchestra under the baton of David Hoose. In 2016, Ms. Hollis will perform Faure's Requiem in Rhode Island , conducted by Edward Markward. Ms. Hollis’ other concert repertoire include Hongger’s King David, Brahm’s Requiem, as well as Mozart’s Requiem.
