Historical storytelling, during which you will hear about notorious crimes committed in Warsaw and the trials that took place in the capital's courts. The lecture will be led by Arkadiusz Żołnierczyk, a Warsaw guide who knows everything about Warsaw and its secrets.

Although the Vampire of Warsaw did not commit as many crimes as the long feared serial killer known as the Vampire of Łowicz, both cases were perfect material for journalists. What was it about them that made them stand out from other crimes? Usually, spectacular deeds committed by people from socially observant circles make the headlines, but the cruelty of the murder committed in 1927 on Hrubieszowska Street meant that information about this event occupied the front pages of newspapers for some time, even though it did not happen in circles defined as superior. Another murder to be discussed, one of the most mysterious in the First Republic, took place not far from this meeting place. It takes about five minutes of a leisurely walk to get from Worek Kości to the crime scene. Among those suspected of committing the crime was… Marshal Józef Piłsudski, and despite his merits and the position he held, he testified like an ordinary citizen. Another crime, seemingly an "ordinary" murder, committed on Mazowiecka Street, would only attract readers' attention for a moment. However, it was a stone that set off an avalanche. The shots in front of the Mała Ziemiańska café started one of the biggest economic scandals of the interwar period, and the Republic of Poland almost broke off diplomatic relations with its biggest ally in Europe, the Republic of France. Worek Kości will also highlight the latest high-profile case pending before a Warsaw court. A person described by journalists as a "Vampire in a skirt" sat on the defendant's bench. (Thanks to the journalists, one could think that Warsaw far exceeds Transylvania in the number of vampires). Some trials were not only metaphorically loud. During one of the trials the lawyer took out a revolver… and opened fire on a witness walking in front of the judge's table! You will also be able to hear about what drove the lawyer to such an act and what consequences he suffered during the meeting.
