Krzysztof Lenczowski was born in 1986 and is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the cello class of Professors Tomasz Strahl and Rafał Kwiatkowski. Since October 2019, he has been working at the UMFC at the Department of Jazz and Stage Music, where he teaches a jazz cello class since 2021. He also plays guitar—he graduated from the H. Majewski Post-Secondary School of Jazz in Warsaw in the class of Professor Piotr Lemanski. As a member of his own bands and a session musician, he has recorded more than 80 albums, including three original albums. Between 2014 and 2018, he won the Jazz Top Jazz Forum poll in the miscellaneous instruments category five times. Since 2010, his primary field of artistic activity has remained the Atom String Quartet - Poland's leading jazz ensemble and one of the most interesting string quartets in the world. He has collaborated with an endlessly long list of artists that includes names such as Branford Marsalis and Bobby McFerrin.
The show at Bardzo will feature music from his album Lost Journey, released in 2021. In addition to Lenczowski, the trio comprises hammond player Kajetan Galas and drummer Bartosz Staromiejski. Alongside the show, there will be an interview with the leader, conducted by Mikołaj Tyczyński of Radio Nowy Świat.
