Performing: Jarek Kaczmarek
Stories taken from life and written with life. Personal narratives that intertwine with scenes from the pages of great history. Is it possible to contain a whole life in one small story? How do you find an image in which you can, in the blink of an eye, grasp its meaning and significance? How to touch a flash of poetry in its prose? This is a family reminiscence of a December night in 1944 - a moving story about little Irminka and her lost candy from the Christmas tree. Jarek Kaczmarek will show the story of twenty-year-old Marysia and her walk in May 1953 through the streets of the destroyed city to smell and taste the "first joy of post-war Warsaw". It will also be possible to follow the fate of three high school graduates lost in the spring of 1988 in the mysterious chamber of the Elizeum - the House of Pleasure. The stories are accompanied by visuals: historical photographs, illustrations and family memorabilia.
