A extraordinarily colourful musical portrait of the last klezmer of Galicia - Leopold Kozłowski-Kleinman. The artist's biography, although stigmatised by the drama of the Holocaust, is an encouraging example of an escape from the darkness of war into the light of the stage. It was there that over the years of his career, Kozłowski wrote the history of Polish Jews into unforgettable scores and songs, having a huge impact on the popularisation of Jewish music at home and abroad. The performance is a kind of tribute to the artist, who died in 2019, and the fruit of his more than 20 years of collaboration with Jacek Cygan and outstanding Krakow instrumentalists, who will take us on this musical journey by performing live songs from the repertoire of the legendary klezmer.
