Takes place during Berlin Art Week 2022

The exhibition The Woven Child focuses on the textile works of the French-American artist and sculptor Louise Bourgeois. On display are a variety of sculptures, installations, drawings, collages, books, and prints that express the artist's strong connection to textiles. Bourgeois began working on textile works only when she was over 80 years old, thus using old clothing and household textiles to both preserve and transform the past. Thus, the artist processes textiles into sculptures and installations that dealt with themes such as the body, femininity, trauma and memories.
