In February 2022 Lydia Benecke will give the lecture Sadisten: Tödliche Liebe at the Huxleys. This lecture gives an insight into the different psychological profiles of harmless and dangerous sexual sadists: On the one hand, the "normal life" is explained to everyone who mutually express their sexual sadism with masochistic partners. On the other hand, the audience immerses themselves in the thoughts and feelings of the dangerous, criminal sadists - Jack the Ripper and Ted Bundy are among the best-known representatives. Lydia Benecke has developed the first comprehensive, scientific explanatory model for differentiating between dangerous and harmless sexual sadists, which was published in the Verlag für Polizeiwissenschaft. Lydia Benecke also explains why Shades of Gray does not give a realistic insight into relationships between sadomasochists and why Christian Gray is more of a dangerous than a consensual sexual sadist.
