About Mariusz Patyra

Mariusz Patyra began learning to play the violin at the age of seven. His teachers were: Z. Ciucias, A. Hoffmann in Olsztyn, A. Cypryk-Chmielewska and J. Kucharski in Warsaw, K. Węgrzyn in Hannover and Maestro Salvatore Accardo in Cremona. In 2018 he graduated with honours from the Master's studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of Professor Boleslav Siarkiewicz. He is the first Pole to win the "Premio Nicolo Paganini". (Genoa 2001) and won a special award for best performance of Nicolo Paganini's Caprices and a copy of the violin "Il Cannone". (Cannon), which belonged to a great virtuoso. Mariusz Patyra is also a laureate of the J. Joachim International Violin Competition in Hannover (1997) and a finalist of the International Stradivarius Competition in Cremona (1988). The artist won 4th prize at the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition in Odense and a special prize at the Odense Sinfonie Orchester (2000).
