Matusik & Ghostman

Matusik & Ghostman is a duo of musicians from Bielsko-Biała. The singer and the pianist met in this city surrounded by mountain landscapes during one of the jam sessions taking place in the theater cafe Pod Sceną. That day a unique musical understanding was formed, a common language of sounds, which Matusik & Ghostman use to express themselves on stage. Ghostman is a vocalist with an extraordinary talent for creating, improvising incredible sounding, emotional languages. However, these are not languages he has learned. He treats them as a gift and a possibility to express various emotions while singing, which are not limited by the learned lyrics. Improvisation is another important element characterizing the duo. The vast majority of the songs came out of the musicians' loose improvisations during the rehearsals but also during the premiere concert at BWA Bielska Gallery. Their music, full of spatial, nostalgic improvisations, is also created by the audience and the musicians' environment through their reactions to the sound.
