Mendel Museum is a department of Masaryk University in Brno. Its main mission is to disseminate scientific legacy of the Augustinian abbot G. J. Mendel, who is known for his studies performed on plants, especially the peas. Museum hosts scientific exhibitions, lectures of world experts in the field of genetics. Mendel museum offers a permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions and a apiary in the garden of the abbey.
