*A lecture in the series "Decades of Contrasts" organized by the Art Tranfser Foundation.
The work of the prematurely deceased Eugeniusz Zak presents an astonishingly wide range of artistic references and fascinations. Among his masters there were both Renaissance masters and contemporary avant-gardists. Regardless of the sources of inspiration - he always gave his works the stamp of individuality, thanks to which he is considered one of the most interesting representatives of the so-called Ecole de Paris.
Presenter: Paweł Bień - art historian, culture expert, poet. He graduated from Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the universities of Wrocław and Warsaw. He regularly collaborates with the National Museum in Warsaw and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute. He has been a guest lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, art exhibition offices and several Universities of the Third Age. He is the author of the poetry book Light Sensitivity.
