Kisu Min (which is Esperanto for kiss me) is a rock band formed in 2016 in Łódź. It is made up of vocalist Basia Ciupińska, guitarist Ola Sobańska, drummer Agata Pyziak and bassist Michał Szafarz. Punk heart mixed with a weakness for Roxette and The Cure - this is how the style of their songs can be described in a nutshell. Basia, Ola, Agata and Michał know the power of a good melody and, on the other hand, feel they have been called to rebel. They have two studio albums and an EP to their credit; their most recent release is the LP City of the Revolution, which came out in 2023 on Antena Krzyku.
The power trio Psychocukier formed in Lodz in the mid-1990s, becoming one of the flagship bands of the first wave of Polish indie rock that converged around Antena Krzyku. Psychocukier, like many other groups from the scene, laced direct, uncomplicated rock songwriting that owed a considerable debt to 70s psych with a gradually growing layer of experimentalism—referencing krautrock, improvisation and exploring noise and electronics. Their discography currently comprises seven LPs, the latest being 2018's Antypody umysłu.
The line-up is rounded out by Izzy and the Black Trees, a band from Poznań who combine atmospheric Americana and slowcore with the hectic energy of post-punk and an emotional rawness that evokes comparisons with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Patti Smith Band or Savages. In 2018, they released their debut EP, where guitar riffs meet the band's slightly quieter, ballad-like sound. Since then, they have released two studio albums, the most recent being 2022's Revolution Comes in Waves.
