On the eve of World War II, a strange old man lands in a balloon on the roof of Buckingham Palace, claiming to have come from picking strawberries from the moon. He is none other than Baron Munchausen, or so he claims. Since the English secret service is getting nowhere, they finally decide to consult the greatest psychologist of all time: Dr. Sigmund Freud. He is in exile in London and at first is not very eager to spend his last days with another patient, but under slight pressure he finally agrees. At first he too fails with his analysis, but then he discovers facts and facts in the Baron's apparent fairy tales. He inquires and the two completely different characters begin to grow closer as reality and fiction blur.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Flix, Sönke Andresen has written a play, full of fantasy, magic and madness.
