Venue description

The Museum of Pharmacy is one of the smallest museums in Warsaw. Permanent exhibitions are housed in three rooms. The oldest exhibits include a collection of pharmacy utensils discovered during archaeological excavations at the Royal Castle, which had been operating since 1602. The Museum also houses exhibits related to various fields of medicine, including surgical, gynaecological and dental instruments. Visitors can see the reconstructed interior of a pharmacy, an extraordinary collection of furniture, tools and utensils. The history of drugs, poisons and narcotics. And also the outstanding figure of one of the world's first female pharmacists – the museum's name patron Antonina Leśniewska.
