The Museum of the Martyrdom of the Wielkopolska Region—Fort VII is a branch of the Wielkopolska Museum of Independence. The museum was established on the site of a German concentration camp and focuses primarily on its history. Fort VII is also the best preserved object of the outer ring of fortifications with which the Wilhelminian Germans girdled Poznań to defend themselves against a possible attack by the armies of Tsarist Russia.
